hi babes. i am so impressed with myself- i stuck to a m/w/f posting schedule for a good five weeks!! i was just not feeling it last friday.. so.. that happened. but i have some things to share with you today!! this is really a catch-all post. so get ready for some v-a-r-i-e-t-y !
first, some more valentines day stuff!

(1) some printables from a blog about love in collaboration with kos&co & inadvertent haiku.. designed to keep things spicy, ya know? download here.
(2) kissable lips! NARS turksih delight is the perfect compromise.. light enough for you to pucker up without consequences (; here
(3) essie nail polish in tangerine. perfection. here
(4) late last week, joy the baker blessed us with these pink frosted donuts topped with toasted coconut. seriously?? too much.
(5) dandee shared an adorable diy valentine card. just print & stitch! here
(6) please tell me i am not the only one freaking out about this fluorescent pink extension cord from coleman? my mother in law once gave me a pink box cutter.. serious- one of my favorite gifts ever. every girl should have a set of pink tools! it is the only way to ensure boys don’t touch them and get them dirty & scratched!!!
(7) nordic ware just gets it. i am 110% obsessed with their line of colored bakeware. unfortunately, i have really only seen them at target (in store only)- and at random times. right now, they have a red aluminum baker’s half sheet.. can’t promise how long i will hold out for that baby to go on sale! last spring, i scored a pink cupcake pan. it changed my life. but the best part- their products are so sturdy! definitely keepers. find their springform here
(8) you guys! the jessica hische stamp finally came out!!! ahhh!! yeah, i anticipate new stamp designs. so what?! buy a few sheets here! sorry if you are in galveston- i def. bought their last five sheets !!!! you should also stop by here: mom this is how twitter works. you never stop learning, yo!

IN OTHER NEWS!
last week i made some chili! i passed up my usual go to from smitten kitchen and took my chances on this one i found on epicurious. it was pretty good! i subtracted the jalapenos, added quite a bit more chili powder, a little more cumin, & a splash of cider vinegar. so! you should warm yourself from the inside this week & make some chili!! (yep.)

AND! here is what happened this weekend!!

(1) MARDI GRAS! just so you know, parking is a b****!!!
(2) I HAVE NO WILL POWER. this whole not-drinking-soda bull is hard. but! the weather was soooo nice on saturday. and nothing has every tasted better, i think!
(3) swear- she spent 90% of the weekend in this position. humanstyle, yall.
(4) my one jason wu for target indulgence. did you score anything?? i was really interested in checking the handbags. weird thing, though- galveston’s target seemed to be a little more interested in featuring their mardi gras merchandise than their jason wu stuff. no.. a lot more. NOT OKAY.

miss you! check back tomorrow for a small treat!

i dont know if you have noticed lately, but GLASSES ARE EXPENSIVE! serious! it is like the dumbest thing ever. luckily, the internet is becoming more awesome thanks to companies like these (the NYtimes thinks so, too!)

all four offer free shipping & free returns.

tummie-tip: if you are going blind, you will need your prescription when you order. you will also need your PD (pupillary distance) measurement. i convinced the friendly gentleman at lenscrafters to tell me mine. my brother-in-law was able to obtain his from the fine employees of walmart’s optical department. if you are not going blind, you should still buy some because everyone’s face needs a little jewelry.

so.. i know i’m supposed to share some pics of my super exciting life with you today. and really- i should have something to show. the weather was a.mazing this weekend. it was like, california style. but, in my style, i probably spent a total of like 10 minutes outside. i spent a lot of time saturday watching season 3 of psych on netflix and spray painting in our semi-ventilated trash stairway. i spent a lot of time on sunday sleeping in and just perfecting my general laziness. we caught a little bit of the australian open championship on tv, though! dude won $2,300,000.00! but come on. i hope rafae gets the next grand slam title. brobro deserves it. and i deserve to watch his face in slow motion when he does it. secrets: i really like to watch men’s single’s tennis.
anyways. since i dont have anything to show for my super exciting and productive weekend, i put this together for you to click at. do you get it?? its like valentines day and stuff.

this project was recently started by tiffany tso and kristine fernandez. and i am super excited to see how far they can take it. to paraphrase- their project, 7 days, looks into the day-to-day lives of awesome people through the lens of a disposable camera. can you even handle that? in my opinion, flash should also be required. i am a woman of such refined taste, i know.
SO CHECK IT ALRIGHT. see you next week 🙂

can we talk about this fog? this weather has got me in a serious funk for real. it was at least cool (in the sixties) a few days this week- but this mid seventies in mid january business has got to stop. do you know that i hate it? do you know that i hate the fog?

ooohhh it is a love-hate relationship really. that is- fog is crazy beautiful (kirsten dunst 4 life). but it is also crazy wet. as in – water. as in – did i ask for a shower when i walked outside? no. rude.
anyways- my moodiness mixed with gwb’s tummie aches have = no cooking this week. unless you count soup? i actually did make some heart shaped sugarcookies yesterday, but i was too lazy to ice them. so.. they are just kind of depressing.
but that is all beside the point really!! i was planning on posting a little project on this baby today. you know- a little pinterest-inspired, diy or die, kinda little thing. hopefully i will get around to it before next friday.

until then, here are some links for you!
(1) ecab zipper pouch/clutch. i used this tutorial for some christmas gifts.. and they were super fun to make!
(2) a guide for hosting guests. this was sixteen slides of blissful daydreaming for me. i cannot wait to host house guests! you have no idea!
(3) the best flickr set i have ever seen. seriously- cant handle it. red/pink.
(4) dont make fun, but i just leared what “ikea hack” meant this week. you see, i was confused, because a) my hair is blonde. b) they have a line called lack. and typos happen. ??. regardless, i am obsessed with what they have done to this here bookshelf.
(5) kinfolk. i am crazy into this magazine and want a copy (and to buy a copy for everyone i know) real bad.
(6) bow wow wow (spotify link). cant stop wont stop- you should listen to them, k? track suggestions: CHIHUAHUA, and COWBOY.

if i told you how many television shows i keep up with, you would probably puke. so i am pretty choosy about the ones share my love of.

i started watching downton abbey toward the end of last week after my fake-internet-friends-that-dont-know-i-exist kept bugging me about it (here, here, and here). i finished season 1 on sunday. and let me just tell you something- IT IS REALLY GOOD. my favorite part about it, which is all out and super embarassing, is that it is a full hour long. do you even believe that? no commercials, friends. not-a-one. okay, maybe thats not the best part.
i do consider myself an expert on romantic, turn of the 20th century, british accent, i love you-i love you not films; i will watch you under the table when it comes to kate & leopold, little women, pride & prejudice, and.. well.. the list goes on, really. so do listen to me when i tell you- YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SHOW. season 1 is on netflix and spans years 1912-1914. season 2 began airing on 01/08 and will span years 1916-1918- you can catch up here. and dont even worry, because i just read it has been renewed for a third season.

and as if you are not already excited for this show after those ramblings, i want to share these things with you.
downton abbey

as much as i hate recording my design process, i really love looking at others. yesterday, paul’s pinterest reminded me of something i didn’t even know i needed more of. like, seriously, so much more of. when i signed up for pinterest, i only kind of realized how useful it would have been in school.
anyways, check this and cry: sports graphic design board by pcwindle
i love how many ideas can come from someone’s inspiration. and i always find other peoples’ inspiration way more inspiring than my own. wanna start a design process pinboard? please do. and tell me about it.
